Brighton Pavilion Liberal Democrats choose Parliamentary Candidate
The Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Brighton Pavilion for the next general election is Ashley Ridley (22), a football coach, retail and youth worker. Ashley said, “I am delighted to have been selected by my local party. I’ve lived in Brighton for most of my life and I believe that, despite some challenges, it’s a wonderful city to live and work in.”
If elected, Ashley will work to forge closer ties with the European Union to get our economy back on track; ensure sufficient funding for the NHS to deliver a reliable public service; invest in renewable sources of energy and ban fracking for good. He said, “The greatest threat to our country is global warming, and I think Liberal Democrats should work with all parties to address this in a way that boosts economic growth and well-paid employment.”
Ashley had previously stood as the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate in East Worthing and Shoreham and he ran in two local elections in Brighton. He combines this experience with energy, passion, and a determination to improve the lives of people in Brighton Pavilion by listening to what they have to say and doing whatever he can to help.
